Roof Anchor Load Testing
Roof anchor load testing is an essential service to ensure the safety and compliance of fall protection systems. Designed to protect workers at height, roof anchors must meet rigorous safety standards and regulatory requirements to provide reliable, certified support prior to use. Purpose: This service verifies that roof anchors can withstand the required load capacities as defined by OSHA, ANSI, and other relevant safety standards (See our Resources Tab). Load testing identifies potential weaknesses in anchor design, manufacturing, fasteners, substrates, and installations before they pose a hazard to an end user or property owner. Our Process: Our certified technicians conduct load testing using calibrated equipment and industry/registered engineer-approved techniques. The process includes: Test Procedure Issuance: Our retained engineer will create an engineering-stamped, job-specific load testing procedure for the site’s anchorages. The test procedure outlines how we will test the system to ensure safe (non-destructive) test practices are in place. Without a load test procedure in place, a vendor could potentially overload the system and cause damage/deformity, or under-test the system and not expose potential flaws in the installation. Testing: Applying a controlled load to simulate real-world conditions while monitoring the anchor's performance via calibrated dynamometers, deflection readers, and an in-depth data entry/recording process. Our testing services encompass load testing of the entire system, rather than a sample array. Documentation: Our team will issue a detailed report, including results, compliance status, and any recommendations for repairs or maintenance. Our report will be issued to the engineer for final review and stamping (for passing anchorages). Benefits: Ensures worker safety by certifying the reliability of fall protection systems. Maintains compliance with legal and industry standards. (See Resources Tab) Prevents costly liabilities associated with anchor failures. Extends the lifespan of your roof anchor system with proactive maintenance insights. Why Choose Us? With 30+ years of experience in fall protection systems, our team brings expertise, precision, and professionalism to every project. We prioritize safety, accuracy, and timely service, ensuring your anchors meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
